Silence

A brief moment of silence amongst chaos,

A short window of peace amidst madness,

A reflection of stillness, of otherwordly beauty
and vast terrifying openness into an eerie abyss.

A single sound will shatter the void,
yet silence remains and persists,

and true silence is horror to those who know only noise.
